Katja & Blake

Location: Margan Wines

Katja and Blake's wedding at Margan Wines was never going to be about styling that demanded attention. It was about people, place, and the kind of day that unfolds so naturally guests forget there was ever a plan behind it.

The brief was to let Margan do what it does best. The vines, the light, the views across the Hunter Valley. The styling was designed to sit quietly within all of that, not to compete with it. Pastel florals took centre stage and did so without force, the kind of abundance that feels grown rather than arranged. Soft white linens, embossed menus, and floating candles dressed the reception tables with warmth and intention, drawing guests in and giving them every reason to stay, to linger, to talk.

It was a day coupled up in love and family, and that feeling was the brief as much as anything else.

On the day,  the focus was on creating a sense of calm underneath everything. Working closely with every vendor to ensure the experience felt entirely seamless, the goal was a day where no one could tell where one moment ended and the next began. Just a beautiful, uninterrupted flow of laughter, connection, and all the things that matter.

When it comes together like that, the best thing a planner can do is disappear into it. And on this day, that is exactly what happened.
